Styling with Kim Howells

On Thursday we had a styling workshop with Denis & Kim Howells which I really enjoyed. We brought in our own clothes as we did in the last style-athon & learnt how to create looks using the selection that was available to us. Kim suggested myself & Hayley create a look for the gothic persona of our character on the mannequin. We liked a black tutu skirt & Kim taught us to look beyond the obvious & how we could use it as a head piece. We hadn't considered this & think that the workshop helped us ALOT in terms of inspiration and ideas.

We pitched our idea for a concept to Kim & showed her our storyboards which she seemed pleased with (which will be uploaded soon once I have fixed my scanner). I feel so much more organised now that we have storyboards done & think that our narrative is a lot clearer. Kim gave us some really great input & advice & suggested we make our 'white' alter ego extremely high fashion & avant garde. She told us that nudes have been popular at LFW for AW10 so I want to look at some collections for costume ideas.
