Filming

So we finally filmed on wednesday and thursday this week yay !!! We have had so many problems with getting a camera, models and locations etc over the weeks so it felt great to actually shoot some footage & make some progression.

On wednesday we filmed the bedroom scenes which we filmed in Rebecca Careys bedroom. Our model, Saskia, wore the black outfit & we filmed her staring into a big gold mirror.. We got a variety of angles & shot a good amount of footage.

Yesterday we changed location once again & headed to Danbury Woods in Chelmsford to shoot our dream sequence scene. It's a shame we couldn't shoot at Blue Waters in Woolpit but I feel that Danbury still did our film justice & was similar in appearance. After getting lost & driving around aimlessly for an hour we finally found our location. This put us back for time though & it was a rush to film everything before sunset. You can see how much our lighting changed throughout the footage which I think has affected us. However we spoke to Olle today & he said that we can lighten up the colours on final cut pro.
Anyway we had Saskia running through the trees in the white outfit. I even climbed a tree, in fear for my life, to shoot some high angles to show her vulnerability. We had Saskia hold the camera and spin which led to a snorry cam effect & probably my favourite shot. We have a lot of footage.. I'm just worried that because we have lots of short shots our film won't be fluid.. but we'll be sure to get help from Geraldine & Olle to prevent this.

All in all I think that everything went well and I feel like we definetely have enough footage to work with. Despite everything that has gone wrong, I feel like it has happened for the best.. Our model looked lovely on camera & I'm happy with all of our footage. I'm glad we can get on with some editing now and I'm excited for our film to start taking shape :)

Also we have decided against using Marilyn Manson as our backing track even though his song and lyrics to 'The Nobodies' influenced our concept a great deal. I felt like we needed something prettier and with more emotion. I have a slight obsession with Sky Ferriera but I found this beautiful song she covered by Miike Snow...
